Homework:
Ch 1 review packet
#1-8

Today, we learned how to write an equation to find out how many people will come to a concert BASED ON how much we charge for a ticket. (n=mp+b, e.g., n=-148p+21459). We substituted this equation for "n" in our previous profit equation (e.g., P=15.5n - 205,000), and came up with a quadratic equation that we used to determine the price we could use for maximum profit. (e.g., P = -148p2 + 22095p - 299431). For the Dixie Chickens at the Starplex Ampitheater, we found a maximum profit price of $74 per ticket for a profit of over $500,000!

We will have our chapter 1 test on Monday. Use your review packet as a template for studying. Super Bowl Sunday is just three short days away:)!
