Homework:
None! Study for chapter 6 test tomorrow!!!
Tips:
1) Study and memorize at least the 5 parallelogram properties, as well as the 2 rectangle properties and 3 rhombus properties.
2) Review parallel lines (chapter 3), especially alternate interior angles.
3) Review triangle rules, especially Triangle Angle Sum Theorem (3 angles = 180)
Extra practice:
p.342 chapter test
#1-3
#8-15
#17-19
(solutions below... try not to look until you're done!)
1. Trapezoid - only one pair of parallel sides (DRAW THESE! DON'T JUST GUESS!)
2. Kite - 2 pairs of congruent, intersecting sides
3. Parallelogram - 2 pairs of opposite congruent sides
8. x=100, y=50, z=40 (look for the isosceles triangles)
9. x=57, y=57, z=66 (diagonals of a rhombus bisect the angles they enter)
10. x=6, y=5 (diagonals bisect each other... 4x-4=3x+2)
11. x=36, y=108, z=72
12. Yes - parallelogram prop 4
13. Yes - 5th (extra) method of proving a parallelogram
14. Yes - parallelogram prop 2
15. Yes - parallelogram prop 3
17. x=2, y=1
18. 90, 30
19. 50,30
Hope that helps!
